About The Position

The Foil Operator safely and efficiently operates Carle & Montanari foiling machines, ensuring consistent product flow, quality wrapping, accurate documentation, and appropriate equipment maintenance in support of production goals. This is a full-time permanent position on third shift, from 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, with some Fridays as needed.

Requirements

Ability to keep up with fast-paced conveyor lines.
Mental alertness to identify quality issues.
Ability to understand and follow standard procedures.
Ability to identify words and numbers.
Ability to notify machine operators or a supervisor of production problems.

Responsibilities

Prepare Carle & Montanari foiling machines for safe and efficient startup.
Load and align products into the feeder track using the jog function.
Thread and align wrapping foil through the feeder system.
Start the machine and monitor product feeding and wrapping for accuracy and consistency.
Perform and record required quality checks, ensuring data is accurate and submitted on time.
Keep foiling fingers and wrapper guides clean and free of chocolate buildup.
Communicate machine downtime and its causes to management.
Verify the correct foil and bagger film, and ensure date codes are legible for scheduled production runs.
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow safety protocols.
Clean, inspect, and lubricate equipment as needed throughout the shift.
Power down the line at shift end and submit completed paperwork to the Supervisor or Group Lead.
Attend required meetings on time and comply with plant attendance guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned to support a safe, clean, and efficient production environment.
