The purpose of this task is to provide support to (NAVSPECWARCOM) Office of the General Counsel (OGC) for the development, processing, tracking, and analysis of personnel activities, as well as other functions normally encountered in an administrative office and a military personnel department. This role involves assisting with the initiation and preparation of draft documentation and correspondence related to all requests, reviewing and resolving issues such as fee agreements, fee waivers, and expedited processing before completing FOIA/PA requests. The analyst will coordinate and track tasks with NAVSPECWARCOM and Component staffs, route proposed responses through various headquarters directorates and offices, and prepare draft interim responses, referral letters, and final response letters citing applicable exemptions. Responsibilities also include scanning documents, redacting information using REDAX or similar software, inputting and updating FOIA/PA database tracking systems, preparing periodic reports, and assisting with OGC administrative functions like litigation holds, subpoenas, document preservation, and file organization.
