About The Position

Mains’l is seeking a Full-Time FMS Support Specialist to join our Financial Management Team. This role serves as a key point of contact, offering expertise and resources related to Self-Determination Programs while building strong relationships with participants and their support teams. Self-Determination Programs allow individuals to manage their own services and supports, including hiring support workers. Mains’l provides Financial Management Services (FMS) for these programs, handling payroll, vendor payments, and administrative tasks so participants can focus on their chosen life.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience with financial management systems, with a focus on budgeting accuracy and data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction while seeking assistance when needed.
  • Capacity to manage a high volume of daily communications and competing deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource for participant and stakeholder regarding self-directed services
  • Support individuals in managing service budget and expenditures.
  • Perform data entry and review of payable invoices.
  • Review of timesheets, payroll reports and employee set up documentation
  • Conduct monthly audits of spending summaries for accuracy
  • Share information from Regional Centers with participants and stakeholders
  • Process employer, employee, and vendor documents.
  • Maintain strong relationships through excellent customer service, engaging with individuals, case managers, families, and vendors primarily via phone and email.
