About The Position

Seeking a highly motivated and driven FMS Software Engineer to work Onsite supporting enterprise IT for our War-fighter customer who upholds America's status as the "Land of the Free" every day, at work, or at play.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience applying rigorous software and systems engineering processes to the analysis, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of TMPC mission planning software and technical documentation.
  • Experience designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining PKI systems.
  • Experience reviewing, analyzing, and documenting emerging requirements, system defects, and the impact of changes to TMPC interfaces.
  • Experience leading engineering work groups to address technical challenges and conduct Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs).
  • Coordinate and work closely with test and evaluation teams to assess software performance and readiness.
  • Provide critical technical input for project plans, schedules, roadmaps, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct technical risk management, tracking, and mitigation strategies.
  • Author comprehensive technical reports and brief NAVAIR leadership on system status, metrics, and technical analysis.
  • Advise and assist NAVAIR executives and managers in implementing systems engineering and digital engineering policies.

  • Active Secret with ability to obtain an Interim Top Secret Security Clearance; prior to onboarding

Responsibilities

  • Drive innovative technology and modern Agile acquisition processes for Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
  • Partner with the Foreign Disclosure Office (FDO) to ensure software and technical documentation are appropriately sanitized and approved for release to international FMS partners.
  • Manage the technical sustainment, modification, and modernization of TMPC software, balancing traditional systems engineering with digital engineering and DevSecOps processes.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather feedback and input for continuous TMPC enhancements.
  • Collaborate with software vendors to provide tasking, guidance, and oversight; assist in developing technical Statements of Work (SOWs) and reviewing Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
  • Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
  • Drive the strategy and implementation of Agile development practices (including backlog grooming, prioritization, sprint reviews, and program increment planning) for TMPC FMS.
  • Collaborate with developers to successfully migrate legacy TMPC software into modern DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Analyze and document cyber and system security aspects of the software to ensure robust defense posture.
  • Review vendor-produced Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models and contribute to digital engineering descriptions.
