About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a Flute Teacher to teach students of varying ages and skill levels. The teacher will create an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment, inspire students’ musical growth, and communicate with students and parents about goals and progress. The role partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position is part-time and located in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of music teaching experience, especially on flute.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience on related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• 8 or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
