About The Position

The Fluids Plant Operator plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the operations of fluid handling systems within industrial or energy sector facilities. The operator is responsible for monitoring system performance, conducting routine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and maintain product quality. Ultimately, the Fluids Plant Operator contributes to operational excellence by maintaining system integrity and supporting overall plant productivity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in industrial plant operations or fluid handling systems.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as process diagrams and safety manuals.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in industrial operations or process technology.
  • Experience working in oil and gas, chemical, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and computerized monitoring tools.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor fluid handling equipment including pumps, mixers, and storage tanks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and resolve mechanical or process issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of operational data, incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and safety personnel to implement process improvements and comply with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Respond quickly to alarms or system abnormalities to troubleshoot and rectify problems, minimizing operational disruptions.
