About The Position

The Flowback Technician plays an essential role in the oil and gas industry by executing and monitoring operations that determine a well’s productivity and characteristics. Working closely with a team, the technician sets up and operates well-testing equipment, collects and analyzes data, and supports decisions about a well’s potential and optimal extraction methods. The role contributes to the evaluation and management of energy resources by maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain well-testing equipment, including pressure gauges, temperature recorders, and sampling apparatus, to measure and record data during testing operations.
• Rig up and rig down well-testing equipment before and after operations, ensuring safe and efficient setup and dismantling.
• Monitor well performance and fluid properties, such as flow rates and pressure, and adjust equipment settings to optimize test results.
• Collect fluid samples from wells and ensure they are properly labeled, stored, and transported according to industry standards.
• Interpret test data to determine reservoir characteristics and performance, and provide reports and recommendations to engineers and other stakeholders.
• Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures to minimize risks and respond to accidents or unexpected conditions.
• Coordinate with field personnel, including engineers and drilling teams, to align testing operations with project objectives and schedules.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot well-testing equipment to resolve issues, prevent downtime, and ensure continuous operation.
