About The Position

Performs a wide range and variety of assembly, material handling, and quality inspection tasks. This role requires significant physical activity including lifting, bending, turning, stooping, climbing, stretching above shoulder level, kneeling, pushing, pulling, squatting, standing, sitting, and walking daily. Responsibilities include moving components and subassemblies to assigned workspaces for processing and deleting them as instructed. The role demands the ability to lift and maneuver loads up to thirty-five pounds within a specific vertical and horizontal range, walk up to five miles in an eight-hour shift, and possess keen visual acuity to detect small parts and nonconformities. Additionally, the position requires the ability to use a torque screwdriver to tighten screws to twenty inches/pounds, spot subtle differences in color and texture, and maintain orderly and accurate inspection records. Basic math skills and the ability to use a handheld calculator are necessary, along with the capacity to learn to read and understand standard engineering drawings.

  • Ability to lift and maneuver a load of up to thirty-five pounds within a range of zero to five feet vertically and twenty-five steps horizontally.
  • Ability to walk up to five miles in an eight-hour shift.
  • Ability to see one-eighth of an inch parts and nonconformities at a distance of two feet.
  • Ability to tighten screws, using a torque screwdriver, to twenty inches/pounds.
  • Ability to spot subtle differences in color and texture.
  • Ability to keep orderly and accurate inspection records.
  • Ability to assemble parts repeatedly and quickly.
  • Ability to visually inspect parts and assemblies.
  • Ability to lift from ounces to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to be trained two (2) or more assembly operations during a work shift.
  • Ability to use pneumatic hand tools and hand tools.
  • Ability to use hand trucks, floor lifts, and other material handling devices.
  • Ability to use measurement tools.
  • Ability to keep records as directed.
