Hours: Full-Time Days, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm No weekends; a rotating late Friday and rotating on call for holidays among team Area: FLOW Cytometry About the job In this role, the Flow Cytometry- Medical Lab Scientist will be responsible for supporting the delivery of patient care by performing laboratory testing that is utilized in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Technologist in Flow Cytometry perform high complexity testing, primarily in support of the Oncology Service Line. Experience with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a "clinical" laboratory setting through education or work experience required Here's what you'll do Experience with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a "clinical" laboratory setting through education or work experience required Performs all laboratory testing, including the pre-examination phase in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation guidelines to support the delivery of patient care. Conducts and documents established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluates the results of quality control testing and implements corrective action according to established protocols to ensure the accuracy and quality of patient testing. Participates in the validation of laboratory methods and procedures to meet the changing health care needs of our patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or associate Degree
  • Specific Degree(s): Medical Technologist, Medical Technician or Medical Laboratory Science
  • Experience and comfortable with performing bone marrow assists.
  • Experience with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a "clinical" laboratory setting through education or work experience required
  • Laboratory certification required (ASCP or HEW)

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent
