About The Position

The Flow Controller defines and updates supply and stock management for assigned components, including raw materials, machined parts, and other commodities, to ensure material availability for internal and external customers while avoiding excess or unhealthy inventory levels. The role maintains supplier and order information, monitors delivery and quality, and coordinates with internal teams and suppliers to address supply issues and support procurement, qualification, and productivity objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or 2–5 years of experience in this type of position.
Previous ERP experience, preferably SAP.
Self-starter.
Ability to work with multiple organizations and personalities.
Strong negotiation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Validate and maintain lead times, MRP, open-order status, on-time delivery, and quality information.
Review MRP to ensure material availability and forecasted supply while avoiding excess or unhealthy inventory levels.
Participate in daily production meetings and update the team on delivery and quality issues.
Maintain close relationships with suppliers to secure delivery, quality, and productivity service levels.
Serve as the first escalation level for supplier crisis management.
Expedite materials and follow up on transportation and import processes when needed.
Participate in negotiations with suppliers supporting assigned products, including procurement and payment terms.
Work with Global Supply Chain on critical suppliers.
Work with Engineering and Quality to manage supplier and parts qualification.
Work on quality issues, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support and implement quality, delivery, and cost-reduction objectives.
Communicate and work with team members across organizations as required.
