Provides direct leadership to floral department crew members, including planning and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and administering discipline. Manages the training process for new floral crew members, including onboarding and department-specific training. Completes and submits documentation to Human Resources. Conducts daily team huddles to communicate sales goals and reinforce guest service expectations. Writes and places orders for ingredients, products, and supplies, checks in orders, and organizes storage. Prepares floral products for sale by designing arrangements, inflating balloons, and wrapping flowers and houseplants. Writes daily plans and weekly work schedules. Ensures execution of in-store floral programs and corporate promotions. Controls and maintains inventory following FIFO principles to achieve consistent margin. Responsible for merchandise rotation and display maintenance to meet freshness guarantees. Coordinates POS maintenance and ensures displays are stocked. Maintains accurate records for damaged/spoiled merchandise. Complies with workplace safety rules and regulations, and ensures safety, cleanliness, and sanitation of the work area and equipment. Works towards acquiring product knowledge in all departments to assist guests. Stays updated on weekly specials and promotions. Cultivates a team-oriented work environment. The store is open seven days a week and may require weekend, holiday, and shift work.
