The Floral Manager provides direct leadership to floral department crew members, including planning and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, coaching, administering discipline, providing training and development, rewarding crew members, and resolving problems. This role actively participates in and mentors crew members to enthusiastically sell floral products. The manager oversees the training process for new hires, including onboarding and department-specific training, and ensures the execution of in-store floral programs and corporate promotions. They are responsible for ordering ingredients, products, and supplies, managing inventory using FIFO principles, preparing floral products for sale, and maintaining accurate records for damaged/spoiled merchandise. The position also involves coordinating POS maintenance, ensuring displays are stocked, and maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary work area. The Floral Manager is expected to acquire product knowledge across departments, stay updated on weekly specials and promotions, and cultivate a team-oriented work environment. The store operates seven days a week, potentially requiring weekend, holiday, and shift work.
