About The Position

The Floral Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing and training floral clerks, designing floral arrangements, managing inventory, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the floral department. This role involves customer interaction, problem-solving, and ensuring the smooth operation of the floral area according to company policies and merchandising plans.

Requirements

Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Previous experience or training as a floral clerk or designer.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service as defined by company policy.
Train, schedule, and supervise floral clerks.
Write schedules for the Floral Department with Store Director approval.
Implement the merchandising plan according to Division guidelines.
Resolve customer issues related to sales, service, or other floral area operations.
Design floral arrangements for display or customer needs.
Manage inventory to drive sales and profits, following company policies.
Perform daily inventory.
Order necessary supplies to maintain adequate inventory.
Prepare and input floral department orders into the computer.
Stock and maintain displays in the floral department.
Remove expired items from shelves daily.
Operate helium tank to inflate balloons.
Water plants using sprayers and containers.
Maintain cleanliness of the floral area.
Operate cash register.
Monitor inter-office mail and company web page for updated information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
