About The Position

Bristol Farms is seeking a passionate and experienced Floral Manager to lead their Floral Department. This management position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure the department's success and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a love for food and creating exceptional customer experiences, a positive attitude, and a spirit of entrepreneurship. The Floral Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the department's operations, including staff development, inventory management, merchandising, and achieving targeted profits. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Floral Department staff, fostering positive morale and development.
  • Oversee all department operations, including planning, directing, managing, and achieving targeted profits.
  • Perform all duties of a Floral Designer & Floral Clerk.
  • Order, receive, and merchandise department products, managing inventory from delivery to sale.
  • Price merchandise, process purchase orders, and maintain high profit margins according to budget.
  • Create "bold designs" and custom floral arrangements according to customer specifications.
  • Ensure proper displaying and selling of department products, advising customers on flower care.
  • Maintain department cleanliness and visual appeal.
  • Operate a cash register, accurately record transactions, and balance the cash register.
  • Manage inventory control to minimize theft, shrinkage, and waste.
  • Write schedules fairly and objectively to meet business needs and control labor costs.
  • Supervise employees in floral design, sales, displays, receiving, inventory, and price integrity.
  • Train and coach employees on department procedures, tasks, and floral design.
  • Plan and execute special events, focusing on creativity and budget.
  • Implement and maintain all marketing programs.
  • Communicate with the Store Director and Director of Bristol Gardens on all department-related issues.
  • Follow safety work standards and report any safety hazards.
  • Conduct accident investigations and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Provide extraordinary customer service, build customer relationships, and handle complaints effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed Bristol Farms standards in design, presentation, customer service, quality, cleanliness, and leadership.
