With opportunities in container design, perennial garden maintenance, pest and disease identification and vegetable garden care, day to day work is always varied and exciting! You will learn and hone your skills in the field while maintaining some of the most highly regarded landscapes in Fairfield and Westchester counties. Our horticulturists create and maintain landscapes for clients who truly appreciate our horticultural knowledge, craft, and professionalism. Our busy team is looking for part time and full-time crew members/leaders!

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, bend and stand for long periods of time
• Love of the outdoors and gardens
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong work ethic, demonstrable ability in prioritization
• Valid driver's license preferred

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year experience maintaining perennial gardens, vegetable gardens, annual plantings, rose pruning
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of gardens and landscapes including but not limited to: deadheading, cutbacks, watering, fertilizing, staking and application of appropriate garden products as needed
• Rose care program
• Vegetable garden design, planting and maintenance
• Seasonal container and bedding design, planting and maintenance
