The Floral/Dept Leader is responsible for implementing all company and division policies to achieve maximum sales and profits in the Floral department. This role involves developing strong customer relations through personal example and policy implementation, handling customer complaints, and managing Florist Transworld Delivery orders. Key duties include coaching and training personnel on pricing, rotation, stocking, and customer courtesy, as well as planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all activities within the Floral Department. The leader will oversee receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of floral products, manage ordering to maintain stock and prevent waste, and maintain required records and reports. Continuous analysis of department performance and recommendations to the store manager are expected. The position also involves promoting company initiatives, supervising and coaching direct reports, completing performance reviews, and providing feedback. The role requires working cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflict, acting with honesty and integrity, following directions, and providing support to various customer demographics.
