About The Position

Bachman’s is seeking a Floral Designer to create arrangements for customer orders and sympathy occasions. The role involves producing original designs, duplicating arrangements in different styles, and contributing to floral and special event projects. The designer may also assist customers by phone and support other departments as directed. The position requires using technology, including tablets, to record work activities and arrangement components.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1–2 years of floral design experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report are required.
• Basic reading and math skills are required.
• Ability to duplicate and create arrangements and recipes at the design level.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to frequently lift 10–30 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Wedding work experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of floral design experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce original floral designs for customer orders and sympathy arrangements.
• Duplicate arrangements in a variety of styles.
• Assist customers by phone as directed.
• Assist other departments with permanent design, weddings and special events, and planter production as directed.
• Use technology, including tablets, to record activities and arrangement components.
• Complete other projects as directed by a supervisor.
