About The Position

Drexel Building Supply is seeking a Flooring Sales and Design (Account Manager) to act as a sales leader, prospector, customer kingpin, and solutions provider for flooring products. This role requires a charismatic and resilient personality with a persistent approach, who enjoys networking and interacting with people. The individual will guide customers and builders through product selections, including carpet, hard surfaces (LVP, LVT, laminate, engineered hardwood, & rubber), and tile. Responsibilities include utilizing floor plans or performing jobsite measurements with a flooring estimating system to deliver accurate bids, planning for smooth installations, and managing jobs from start to finish with tailored solutions. The role involves routine jobsite/customer visits, showroom floor coverage, building rapport and trust with clients, and driving to achieve sales targets. The Account Manager will manage time and client interactions efficiently, work collaboratively with inside support teams, dispatch, and other account managers, and be comfortable using computers and technology for sales tickets and deliveries. Clear and effective communication skills are essential for face-to-face meetings, phone calls, texts, and emails. A basic understanding of construction practices and flooring products is required. As the role progresses, there will be opportunities to assist in training and motivating new team members. A self-motivated, positive, enthusiastic, and winning attitude is crucial.
