About The Position

Parks Building Solutions is seeking a skilled, dependable Flooring Installer to install, repair, and maintain flooring for residential, commercial, and multifamily construction projects. The role involves delivering high-quality workmanship, maintaining a safe work environment, and completing projects on time in accordance with company standards and customer expectations. Installations may include carpet, luxury vinyl plank and tile, sheet vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tile where applicable. The position is full-time, typically Monday through Friday, with potential overtime, evening, or weekend work depending on project needs. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and certifications. Work takes place at construction sites, residential homes, commercial buildings, and renovation projects. The role may involve local travel and exposure to dust, noise, varying temperatures, and construction-related hazards. Physical work includes frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds, along with standing, kneeling, crouching, bending, and climbing for extended periods.

Requirements

Knowledge of flooring installation techniques, materials, and tools.
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 1–3 years of flooring installation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Install carpet, luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile, sheet vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tile flooring where applicable.
Measure and prepare installation areas.
Remove existing flooring and dispose of debris properly.
Inspect subfloors and perform preparation such as leveling, cleaning, and moisture testing.
Cut, fit, and secure flooring materials using appropriate tools and techniques.
Install trim, moldings, transitions, and finishing components.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and project specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Communicate with supervisors, project managers, customers, and team members.
Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment, and care for them.
Promptly report material shortages, quality concerns, and project issues.
Perform assigned warranty or service work.
Assist with other construction-related duties as needed.
