About The Position

Rite Rug, a top privately owned flooring company for over 90 years, is seeking a motivated Design Consultant to join their team. This role offers unlimited earning potential with uncapped commissions, with top performers earning $150K+. The Design Consultant will work within mobile showrooms to assist customers with the design and selection of flooring products. Rite Rug is one of the largest privately owned flooring retailers in America, providing tremendous support. The position offers a salary plus commission (up to 6 figures) and full benefits. The Design Consultant is responsible for coordinating the selection and sales process and building and maintaining customer relationships.

Requirements

• Have earned a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Flooring experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a company vehicle.
• Must be a self-starter and a people person.
• Be able to multi-task and prioritize the duties required.
• Exhibit effective oral and written communication skills.
• Be able to work independently and problem-solve.
• Be comfortable working with and learning computer systems
• Must be eager to learn and to grow!

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Measure Square or RFMS Measure software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships
• Conducts sales to outside retail customers, B2B sales and area realtors.
• Determine customer’s needs and match appropriately with our products
• Promote and sell all Rite Rug flooring products and services
• Take measurements for installation
• Receive and process payments according to Rite Rug procedures
• Follow up to ensure that the job is completed to the customer’s satisfaction
• Develop a thorough knowledge of all flooring products
• Performs other duties as assigned
