About The Position

Immanuel Communities is seeking an experienced Floor Technician to work at their facility. This position is primarily responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of public areas, staff offices, and patient rooms. The role emphasizes ensuring the quality and timeliness of cleaning activities, conducting all cleaning operations safely and efficiently, and reporting any building or furniture maintenance requirements. The technician is also expected to attend all required meetings and training sessions, maintain departmental policies concerning quality assurance, safety, environmental conditions, and infection control, and uphold a professional attitude while ensuring patient confidentiality. Participation in safety, security, and infection control programs is mandatory.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of housekeeping experience is required.
  • Minimum age of 18 years old required.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • A background check and drug screen will be required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and disinfects patient rooms and public areas as assigned daily following established procedures.
  • Conducts all cleaning activities and operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner as prescribed in the departmental training sessions.
  • Ensure cleanliness of areas of responsibility.
  • Reports all building and/or furniture maintenance requirements to the Environmental Services Team Lead.
  • Attends all meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Maintains established department policies, procedures and objectives, concerning quality assurance, safety, environmental conditions and infection control.
  • Maintains professional attitude with patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel while assuring confidentiality of patient information.
  • Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.
  • Demonstrates work practices consistent with Immanuel and department-specific safety, security and infection control policies.
  • Stocks cleaning cart.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
