Floor Technician (H)

About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced Floor Technician to maintain carpet and hard-surface floors and clean and maintain facilities. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience or diploma is required. The position is located at a site in Kennewick and pays $22.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Sunday and Thursday nights; weekend and daytime work may occasionally be required. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must meet requirements for approval to work in specific ATS environments, if applicable, including providing a ten-year work history if available.
No experience required; on-the-job training is provided.
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
One year of similar work experience.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain buildings and facilities.
Use chemical cleaners and power equipment according to procedures to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify the manager when minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Comply with company, client, and regulatory safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures.
Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas manually or with hand trucks.
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning materials and tools.
Wash and replace blinds.
Gather and empty trash.
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, and perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
