About The Position

The Floor Tech performs daily cleaning and maintenance of facility floors to ensure a clean, attractive facility in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. The role involves maintaining floors through sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing. The Floor Tech also provides customer service, assists with patient evacuation, and works productively with an interdisciplinary team while following facility and company policies.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Knowledge of practices and procedures, and of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in a post-acute care facility.
Perform proficiently in competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
Adhere to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and complete required training.
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.

Nice To Haves

Prior health care experience preferred.
