About The Position

HES is hiring a Floor Tech to clean and maintain assigned areas of a facility. The role performs a range of cleaning duties to support the daily upkeep of the facility, including carpet cleaning and care of hard-surface floors. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and pays $16.50 per hour. One opening is available. The Floor Tech operates and maintains floor-care and carpet-cleaning equipment, follows safety procedures, checks equipment and attachments, and ensures floor-care chemicals are used with correct dilution ratios. The work includes moving furniture and equipment, removing trash, and maintaining supplies. The position involves extensive walking and standing, frequent lifting or moving of items up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting or moving of items up to 50 pounds, and working in temperatures ranging from hot to cold. Requirements

Physical stamina and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; the minimum qualifications also specify having a reliable vehicle.

Nice To Haves

Prior floor-care, hard-surface, carpet-cleaning, or janitorial experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all assigned areas to a high standard.
Clean carpets using bonnet and extraction methods; scrub, strip, seal, wax, and spray-buff hard-surface floors.
Operate high- and low-speed buffers up to 24 inches and 3,000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.
Follow established safety precautions when cleaning and maintaining facility areas.
Operate and maintain floor buffers and burnishers, water-extraction machines, and carpet-cleaning equipment.
Inspect equipment and attachment tools to ensure quality.
Check floor-care chemicals and ensure correct dilution ratios are followed.
Lift or move furniture, supplies, and equipment.
Sweep and mop floors; clean or shampoo carpets; perform light window and wall cleaning; and remove trash.
Maintain equipment and supplies.
Perform additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor.
