About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Floor Tech to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors in a long-term care facility. The role includes cleaning, buffing, and refinishing floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices; operating floor care equipment; and supporting a sanitary environment by following infection control and universal precautions policies. The Floor Tech also maintains activity records, reports maintenance or safety issues, and interacts positively with residents, staff, and guests. The position involves routine, repetitive tasks and requires the ability to work around food and cleaning products.

Requirements

• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Reside within the service area.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous floor care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, buff, and refinish floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of floor care activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
