About The Position

The Floor Tech maintains the cleanliness and appearance of floors in a long-term care facility. The role performs floor care in resident rooms, common areas, and offices, and helps provide a sanitary, welcoming environment for residents, staff, and guests. The position also involves safely operating floor-care equipment, keeping records, and reporting maintenance or safety issues.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous floor-care experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Reside within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Clean, buff, and refinish floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
• Operate floor-care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of floor-care activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection-control and universal-precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
