About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Floor Tech to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors in a long-term care facility. The role supports a sanitary, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and guests, while contributing to positive customer and resident experiences.

The Floor Tech performs floor care in resident rooms, common areas, and offices; uses floor care equipment; keeps records of floor care activities; and reports maintenance or safety issues to a supervisor. The employee follows infection control and universal precautions policies and interacts positively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous floor care experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, buff, and refinish floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of floor care activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
