About The Position

GDI provides integrated facility maintenance services in the United States and Canada. The Floor Tech performs floor cleaning and maintenance in commercial settings, operates and maintains floor-cleaning equipment, and assists with other custodial duties. The position follows safety protocols to help maintain clean, hazard-free environments.

Requirements

• Knowledge of different flooring materials and appropriate cleaning methods.
• Ability to operate floor-cleaning equipment effectively and safely.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions for proper floor maintenance.
• Strong time-management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects as required.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings.
• Operate and maintain floor-cleaning equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains.
• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using appropriate products and techniques.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
• Assist with other custodial duties as assigned.
