About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Floor Tech to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors in a long-term care facility. The role includes cleaning, buffing, and refinishing floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices; using floor-care equipment safely; and following infection-control and universal-precautions policies. The Floor Tech also records floor-care activities, reports maintenance or safety issues, and provides positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests.

The position requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks, follow oral and written instructions, and work around food and cleaning products. Applicants must live within the service area and comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies. Starting pay is $14.00 per hour; the offered rate may vary based on qualifications, experience, education, and facility needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous floor-care experience preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Reside within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Clean, buff, and refinish floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
• Operate floor-care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of floor-care activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection-control and universal-precautions policies to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
