About The Position
NHC-White Oak Charleston is seeking a Full Time Floor Tech to maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas. The role involves observing proper cleaning techniques and ensuring economical use of supplies. The position is located on the campus of Trident Hospital and requires the individual to be on their feet for most of the work time, pushing, pulling, and lifting cleaning supplies and equipment. There is potential for exposure when entering resident areas and to heavy dust or housekeeping disinfecting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Dry mops, wet mops, sweeps
- Performs emergency housekeeping as needed
- Strips floors and refinishes floors as needed
- Keeps janitor closets neat and clean
- Keeps mops and other supplies clean after each use
- Stores equipment in proper areas
- Reports supply and equipment needs for replenishing
- Adheres to safety rules of the facility
- Utilizes proper care and use of equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
