About The Position

The Floor Technician position is responsible for performing scheduled floor care tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This role also involves general cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, arranging furniture, and cleaning furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware.

Requirements

• Experience in Floor Care.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in institutional housekeeping.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled floor care tasks.
• Mops, sweeps, dusts, washes windows, shampoos and vacuums carpets.
• Arranges furniture.
• Cleans furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware.
• Maintains all floor surfaces.
• Buffs and waxes floors, strips and waxes floors, top scrubs and waxes floors.
• Extracts and vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Ensures patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
