About The Position

Distinctive Living is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeper/Floor Tech for Mira Vie at Toms River. The role involves ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of apartments and common areas, including laundry services and carpet care, while adhering to all regulatory standards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to communicate verbally in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic apartment cleaning of bathroom fixtures and floors, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, making beds, and cleaning toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and floors.
  • Avoid disturbing residents' belongings and respect their privacy.
  • Log cleaning activities as required.
  • Change residents' bedding and linens weekly, with options for more frequent changes for an additional fee.
  • Maintain adequate linen inventory for washing, drying, and distribution.
  • Interact with residents in a friendly manner and provide meaningful attention.
  • Communicate resident health concerns to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all common areas, including entryways, reception, corridors, bathrooms, activity rooms, and dining rooms.
  • Clean floors by sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting.
  • Set up and remove caution and safety signs to ensure resident and visitor safety.
  • Clean carpets by vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
  • Clean public restrooms, including washing, sanitizing, and polishing fixtures.
  • Remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using appropriate cleaning solutions.
  • Handle hazardous cleaning supplies according to procedures and ensure accurate labeling.
  • Attend in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs.
  • Respond appropriately to resident emergencies by contacting appropriate parties.
  • Assist with disaster management efforts during evacuations.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, federal, and licensing rules and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and labor laws.
  • Report any regulatory issues to management immediately.
  • Work in a safe manner and report unsafe actions.
  • Comply with Safety Committee Standards.
  • Notify the Executive Director of any workplace injuries and follow procedures for treatment, investigation, and return to work.
  • Foster teamwork, show initiative, assist others, and have a positive impact on colleagues, residents, and visitors.
  • Develop basic knowledge of the organization to answer basic questions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
