About The Position

The Floor Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store. This includes coaching and training associates, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage at all times.

Requirements

  • Prior retail experience required
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Strong basic computer skills

  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
  • Seldom and Occasional lifting less than 30 lbs.
  • Occasional sitting, alternating with frequent walking and standing.
  • Occasional reaching out and light handle / grasp.
  • Seldom reaching above shoulder and below waist.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all store employees and activities, including safety and security of store and staff
  • Performs all duties of a Lead Cashier when working in that capacity
  • Be a resource when managers are absent or unavailable
  • Performs MOD (Manager On Duty) store walks to ensure all departments are up to par
  • Ensure employees are providing excellent customer service
  • Holds team accountable for lunches, breaks, dress code, and balancing staff throughout the store to provide the right level of customer service
  • Ensures proper execution of marketing initiatives
  • Responsible for closing the store when needed
  • Utilizes sound judgement in customer and employee situations and responds in a calm and professional manner
  • Promotes our core values and is an example to all employees of what is expected.
  • Creates a positive culture for staff, customers, and vendors
  • Uplifts staff by developing an atmosphere and environment of accountability
  • Interacts with maintenance team and provides direction to keep the store clean and safe
  • Reports any malfunctioning equipment to the proper person for repair
  • Develops and trains future leaders, with emphasis on Lead cashiers and cashiers
  • Helps maintain inventory accuracy with proper inventory cycle counting
  • Perform some light administrative duties as required
  • May perform duties of yard/warehouse/driver as needed in smaller yards.
  • May perform other duties as assigned
