About The Position

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Supervisor/Lead to join our team. Our operation is fairly simple and will have a small team to supervise. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading a team of 10-15 and be used to basic unloading/loading protocols and safety guidelines. The team will be unloading boxes out of trailers, specifically picking up 5-150 lbs boxes off of a trailer floor and placing them onto an appropriately sized wooden pallet. Once full, that pallet is removed using a pallet jack and placed to the side. Another pallet is then used, and the process repeats until the trailer is empty. This is typically accomplished with 1-2 people and takes 2-3 hours per trailer. The Supervisor of this team has a base pay of $18 and an incentive per trailer completed, which can boost average pay to $25 per hour if enough trailers are completed daily. There is also an option to work on trucks and earn a portion of the unload pay. This means a supervisor could potentially earn base pay, incentive per truck, and truck pay on a single day, though not simultaneously. When a supervisor works on a truck, supervisor pay stops and resumes upon completion of the truck. Working on a truck is not a daily requirement, but the ability to do so if needed is important.

Requirements

• Comfortable leading a team of 10-15
• Used to basic unloading/loading protocols and safety guidelines
• Computer Skills (Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Good Communication (Consistent communication on emails and texts or calls)
• Positive attitudes (Ability to deescalate and calm situations)
• Multi-Tasking Skills (Keeping track of 4-5 teams working on different trailers)
• Physically able to work on trucks if the situation calls for it

Responsibilities

• Tracking/ recording attendance
• Tracking/ recording trailer info and when they are started/ completed
• Tracking/ recording instances of hourly (who, start and end)
• Sending Start of shift emails and End of shift emails
• Covering weekly safety topics and completing safety observations
