About The Position

This position is accountable for monitoring product throughout the processing phase. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months of continuous work history with a single employer in past 12 months.
  • Must have a valid State Driver's License.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time spending tedious hours observing a computer screen.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors of flashing lights.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • All applicants must complete the final task that is separate from the application.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor product throughout the processing phase.
  • Maintain good communication with receiving/preparation, floor operators, grinding room, and loadout to coordinate equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Operate computers that operate the facility.
  • Reset breakers, starters, and variable frequency drives.
  • Identify all motor controls or equipment and relay information to team member for correct lockout.
  • Monitor controls, relay temps, gate positions, and speeds to Team members.
  • Operate computers, volt meters, electrical equipment, centrifuge/analysis machines, and basic hand tools.
  • Report any unsafe items to the supervisor.
  • Reset controls in motor control center.
  • Follow plant safety rules.
  • Perform QA/HACCP duties as assigned.
  • Communicate via two way radio.
