This person will be in command of overall operations of the restaurant in the absence of General Manager and Assistant General Manager. The Floor Manager is responsible for facilitating coaching, counseling, and disciplinary discussions, interviewing and selecting employees, directing daily work activities, monitoring registers, and overseeing grooming standards for service staff. They will also focus on specific areas of restaurant needs such as beverage, wine sales, and service, and communicate observations and suggestions for improvements. Additionally, the Floor Manager will assist with training, personalize service by leading by example, represent products, and ensure the quality of food and beverages. They will personally handle service in the dining room, oversee staff flow, and ensure product presentation is at its highest. This role also involves managing inventories, maintaining the freshness and aesthetics of the dining room and outdoor areas, and enforcing safety procedures. Administrative duties include ensuring accuracy of menus and POS postings, responding to emails, monitoring Avero reports, and following up on repairs. Financially, the Floor Manager will suggest promotions, train staff on upselling, build guest loyalty, and monitor schedules. Self-development is crucial, requiring the Floor Manager to maintain current knowledge of food, wine, beer, and spirits, and stay updated on industry trends, with company assistance for educational goals.
