About The Position

The Floor Manager is responsible for the supervision of gaming operations, including staff management, customer relations, and ensuring the efficient operation of gaming activities. This role requires a strong understanding of house rules, policies, and procedures, as well as the ability to handle customer issues and ensure staff professionalism. The position also involves assisting in policy development, maintaining confidentiality, and representing the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa positively.

Requirements

  • Three years' gaming management experience.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage staff, budgets, schedules, and operations.
  • Knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to obtain a gaming identification badge.
  • Ability to work independently and establish priorities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing.
  • Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise gaming operations, including selection and retention of subordinates, approving leave, evaluating performance, determining training needs, scheduling, disciplining, and coaching.
  • Provide on-the-job training and assign tasks to gaming employees.
  • Manage customer relations, intervening in situations requiring attention and ensuring customer compliance with gaming rules.
  • Ensure all personnel act professionally and assigned work areas are properly covered.
  • Provide relief for slot floor persons during their absence.
  • Resolve seating problems, house rule violations, and other issues on the floor.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of gaming activities through the execution of established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Notify security of customer problems requiring medical assistance or behavior affecting the Casino's credibility.
  • Maintain appropriate work attire and attend all mandatory department trainings, including Title 31 and/or SAR trainings.
  • Ensure confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members, and/or clients.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all requests, complaints, and problems.
  • Demonstrate courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others.
  • Represent the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department positively and professionally in the community.
  • Maintain proper attendance and report to work on time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
