About The Position

Northgate Health Care Facility is seeking a dependable Floor Maintenance Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. In this role, you'll be responsible for preserving and protecting floor surfaces throughout the facility while supporting overall environmental services operations. Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous floor maintenance experience preferred
• Knowledge of floor care equipment, cleaning products, and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Respect for resident privacy, dignity, and rights
• Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented
• Ability to perform physical tasks and remain active throughout the workday

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and maintain floor surfaces throughout the facility
• Perform floor stripping, buffing, waxing, and refinishing as needed
• Clean and shampoo carpets and rugs
• Complete light window, wall, and surface cleaning duties
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment safely and effectively
• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and infection control standards
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents and visitors
• Perform additional housekeeping and floor care duties as assigned
