About The Position

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Assistant to work at Lakeside, a facility that has been voted “Best of Omaha” in the senior living category for 15 years. Lakeside has 89 independent, 49 assisted living and 12 memory support apartment homes along with 18 lofts. The role involves ensuring building and equipment are in working order through preventative maintenance and repairs, completing work orders, performing general carpentry, diagnosing mechanical problems, assembling structures, repairing or replacing equipment parts, cleaning and lubricating equipment, painting, and assembling/installing/repairing electrical wiring.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• One (1) year of facilities maintenance or related experience is required.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• Trade or Vocational Schooling is preferred
• Equivalent years of work may substitute for education requirement.
• Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Ensures building and equipment are in working order by performing preventative maintenance and repairing damage.
• Completes work orders in a timely fashion.
• Conducts general carpenter work using common hand and power tools.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems.
• Assembles structures such as furniture or pipe systems.
• Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts.
• Cleans and lubricates equipment.
• Paints and patches walls, equipment, and structures.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs electrical wiring.
