Floor Maintenance Assistant
About The Position
The Floor Care Assistant is responsible for refinishing and waxing floors, buffing floors, cleaning the pool area floor, shampooing carpets, cleaning upholstered furniture, performing preventative maintenance and repairs on housekeeping equipment, assisting with cottage and room turnovers, and performing other housekeeping duties as directed by the supervisor/director. This role also involves regular housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms, baths, offices, halls, washing mattresses, and remaking beds. The position requires adherence to compliance policies, regulatory standards, and safety/infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities
- Refinishes, waxes, and buffs floors.
- Cleans the surrounding pool floor.
- Shampoos carpets and cleans upholstered furniture.
- Performs preventative maintenance on housekeeping equipment.
- Repairs housekeeping equipment.
- Assists with cleaning of cottages and room turnovers.
- Assists with housekeeping jobs as directed by supervisor/director.
- Performs regular housekeeping tasks such as cleaning residents rooms, baths, offices, halls and other areas as assigned.
- Washes beds, mattresses, and remakes beds after resident transfers or as scheduled.
- Keeps assigned areas neat and clean.
- Communicates significant happenings in housekeeping to the supervisor in a timely manner.
