About The Position

JBS is seeking an hourly Floor Janitor 1st Shift Team Member. This position starts at $18 per hour. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing machinery and floors in a production line setting, maintaining sanitation and organization of assigned areas, and operating heavy equipment. The position requires adaptability, dependability, and the ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with others. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and good attendance and safety records are essential. The job is hands-on and requires the ability to work in a cold, damp, and wet food processing environment for long hours.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent certification
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others
Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.
Strong desire to work hands-on work environment
Good attendance and safety records
Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting
Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area
Set up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas
Operate heavy equipment
Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard
Perform other duties as needed or as assigned
