FSM Flooring and Interiors of Southeast Michigan, formerly Floor Coverings International, is expanding and has an immediate need for hard-working, service-minded individuals with great communication skills to join their team. This role involves executing quality craftsmanship in flooring installation and interior services like paint or drywall work, using a unique shop-at-home model. Installers are the front line of the company, responsible for making a lasting impression on customers and ensuring their satisfaction. The company emphasizes respecting the customer and their home, delivering on promises, and thorough clean-up after each job.

Requirements

5 years in flooring installation
Valid driver's license and functioning vehicle
Ability to lift 50 - 75 lbs repeatedly
Ability to perform repetitive crouching, squatting, standing, walking, and lifting
Must be comfortable traveling to various work locations throughout the week

Nice To Haves

Experience with interior services like paint or drywall work

Responsibilities

Prep and install flooring according to company procedures with high attention to detail and care.
Keep tools organized and clean, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Understand the scope of work for each project and familiarize yourself with the project file before starting.
Properly handle company machinery and power tools.
Complete simple math calculations and understand units of measurement.
Interact with customers in a friendly and polite manner, demonstrating trustworthiness and comfort in their homes.
Ensure high-quality company standards are met on every job.
Work to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with all aspects of the job.
Travel to various work locations throughout the week.
