About The Position

Floor Houseperson needed to ensure the cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas. This role also involves assisting room attendants with linens and trash, stocking linen closets with amenities and supplies, taking supplies directly to room attendants, emptying room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash, cleaning and removing spots from corridor walls and doors, polishing and cleaning mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors, and vacuuming, sweeping, and/or mopping hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers. Special projects may include flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and performing periodic deep cleaning assignments.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Friendly smile to greet guests.
• Can-do attitude.
• Willingness to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties as a team player.
• Ability to lift and move linens and carts weighing up to 100 lbs. through corridors.
• Considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors.
• Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.
• Flip mattresses.
• Move furniture.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning assignments.
