About The Position

The Floor Houseperson plays a key support role within the Housekeeping team by ensuring Guest Room Attendants are fully supplied and assisted throughout the day. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked hallways, guest floors, and service areas, while also assisting with laundry and housekeeping duties as needed to support overall resort operations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Available to work weekends and holidays
Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of guest hallway entrances and elevator areas through regular vacuuming and upkeep
Clean, sweep, and mop stair landings and hallway floors
Dust hallway credenzas and ensure newspapers are neatly stocked
Clean and maintain vending areas
Pick up trash and soiled linens from halls and dispose of them properly
Strip spoiled or soiled linens from guest rooms after checkout when needed
Keep store rooms clean, organized, and well stocked
Ensure guest room glassware and coffee mugs are washed and stocked in housekeeping closets
Assist with laundry services as needed
Notify supervisors of supply shortages or inventory needs
Check vacuum cleaners twice weekly and replace bags as needed
Perform housekeeping duties as needed to support daily operations
Follow all Horseshoe Bay Resort policies, procedures, and safety standards
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and proper uniform at all times
Demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
Be flexible and willing to assist in other areas based on operational needs
Maintain slip-resistant, closed-toe and heel footwear at all times
