About The Position
United Skates of America of Rhode Island, a roller-skating facility, is hiring Part-Time Floor Guards. This role is ideal for individuals with a cheery, outgoing personality who enjoy working in an energy-charged environment. The position offers flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays, with opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- Must know how to skate
- Willing to train!
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a PLUS.
Responsibilities
- Provide a Clean, Fun, Friendly, and Safe experience to every guest.
- Know the rules of the facility and be able to enforce them diplomatically.
- Monitoring and maintaining the skate floor and skate counter before and after sessions.
- Supervising customers for safety protecting all skaters from injury (preventing accidents).
- Communicate with the session manager, other associates, and DJ concerning any problems or safety issues during a session.
- Handle incident procedures and be alert to the (cause of surrounding incidents so you can document them later).
- Verify that all skating adults have signed Adult Waiver Cards (referred to as Skater Agreement Cards in RI), and for Skater ID cards, be sure to check for expiration dates.
- Complete all assigned clean-up procedures and assist in other areas as needed or requested.
