About The Position

Supports the patient care team by providing upkeep and preventative maintenance on CGH floors. Provides floor and carpet maintenance as well as operates the autoclave. Identifies floor maintenance requirements, preventative maintenance for all types of flooring, and develops/updates a schedule for floor work. Communicates supply needs and machine maintenance concerns to the supervisor. Safely operates the autoclave and performs routine manual duties such as room set-ups, curtain changes, and distribution of cleaning supplies. Identifies and reports mechanical deficiencies to POM for correction. Performs Housekeeping 3 duties when required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Five years’ experience in floor care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Identifies floor maintenance requirements
Identifies preventative maintenance required for all types of flooring.
Develops and updates a schedule for floor work required and communicates it to those necessary.
Communicates supplies needed to maintain floors to supervisor, ensuring adequate supplies are in stock.
Communicates flooring machine maintenance concerns, including flooring pads or other machine attachment concerns to supervisor.
Safely operates the autoclave.
Performs a variety of routine manual duties as required. This includes, but is not limited to, room set ups, curtain changes, and distribution of cleaning supplies to cleaning closets and store rooms.
Identifies mechanical deficiencies throughout the facility and reports them to POM for correction.
Performs Housekeeping 3 duties when required.
