About The Position

The Floor Care Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, waxing, and burnishing all hard surfaces. This role also involves providing other cleaning services such as dusting, routine restroom, office, hall, and classroom cleaning, or other assigned duties. The technician must perform preventive maintenance checks on all equipment before use and at the end of each shift, follow all safety requirements and procedures, and maintain equipment, tools, and storage areas in good condition. Additionally, the technician must respond rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, and spills, while respecting hospital and company property.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience (required)
  • HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • 2-4 years experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide floor maintenance, including but not limited to vacuuming, shampooing and extracting carpets, stairwells and upholstery.
  • Performs preventive maintenance checks on all equipment prior to use and at the end of shift.
  • Provides other cleaning services such as dusting, routine restroom, offices, halls and classrooms or other duties as assigned.
  • Follows all safety requirements and procedures at all times.
  • Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in clean, orderly and good operating condition.
  • Respects Hospital and Company property.
  • Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.
