About The Position

The Floor Care Technician is responsible for performing cleaning procedures, waste disposal, and maintaining the general cleanliness of buildings in accordance with facility policy. This role requires the ability to follow both oral and written directions, assist in the proper care and use of janitorial equipment, and attend in-service training programs. The technician must adhere to Resident's rights policies, the facility safety program, and infection control procedures. Punctuality, dependability, and a cooperative attitude are essential, as is the ability to understand and exemplify the Mission and Values of Jennings, and comply with Corporate Compliance Programs. Other related duties may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Requirements

High School diploma.
Experience with floor maintenance equipment.
Ability to follow oral directions.
Ability to follow written directions.
Ability to come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
Perform waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
Assist in the general cleanliness of buildings.
Assist in the proper care and use of janitorial equipment.
Attend in-service training programs for janitorial employees.
Come to work in a clean, neat uniform.
Follow Resident's rights policies at all times.
Follow facility safety program.
Observe infection control procedures related to the Housekeeping Department.
Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
