About The Position

We are looking for a Floor Care Technician with at least 1 year of Custodian or Janitorial experience to keep our spaces spotless. If you know your way around a buffer and love a job that keeps you moving—let’s talk! This role involves cleaning and caring for a variety of floor surfaces—like tile, vinyl, carpet, and concrete—using the right methods for each. This includes regular sweeping, mopping, and scheduled deep cleaning to keep floors looking their best. The technician will operate floor care machines such as buffers, auto-scrubbers, carpet extractors, burnishers, and vacuums to complete daily and project-based tasks. Additionally, they will perform advanced floor care services like stripping old wax or finish, applying new coatings, buffing for shine, and deep-cleaning carpets using hot water extraction or bonnet methods. Safety is paramount, so following safety guidelines when working with cleaning chemicals and equipment, and always wearing the proper personal protective gear (PPE) is essential. All equipment must be used safely, cleaned, stored properly, and kept in good working order. Following OSHA and facility safety standards is crucial to help keep yourself and others safe. The role requires the ability to work on your own or with a team to complete daily floor care duties and larger cleaning projects. Communication with supervisors about any equipment issues, supply needs, or floor damage that needs attention is also important. The primary goal is to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional space by keeping floors free of spills, dirt, and slip hazards.
