About The Position
KidBridge Learning Centers, founded in Pembroke in 2011, utilizes a play-based learning approach, integrating Creative Curriculum, weekly STEM lessons, and a literacy focus to provide children with a well-rounded and joyful early education from infancy. As part of the Magical Beginnings family of early learning centers, we are seeking a Floating Teacher to support our Kingston school. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our program, offering top-notch childcare and fostering collaboration among teachers. The ideal candidate is creative, positive, engaging, flexible, and eager to provide support where needed.
Requirements
- EEC Teacher Certification (any age group), CDA, or equivalent degree and experience
- Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting
- Availability to work a full-time, flexible schedule within operating hours
- Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with children
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
- Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset

Responsibilities
- Providing substitute coverage for Teachers who are out sick, completing planning time, or on breaks.
- Assisting with the routine opening and closing of classrooms, including cleaning and sanitizing.
- Supporting classroom teachers by preparing materials, engaging students, supervising outdoor time, and assisting with daily needs like diapering, meals, and naptime.
- Adhering to the daily classroom schedule.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the school, including common areas and bathrooms.
- Encouraging children's participation through age-appropriate interactive activities.
- Maintaining EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
- Attending monthly staff meetings.
- Creating a fun and safe learning environment.
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
